State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:
• Police were called to a terroristic threats incident at 5:23 p.m. May 14 on West Miner Street, Coaldale.
A 41-year-old Coaldale man reported he was threatened and harassed by multiple family members.
• A 58-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 4:20 p.m. March 28.
He was stopped in a 2002 Chevrolet for a Motor Vehicle Code violation on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.
• Victoria Schotter, 35, of Albrightsville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 9:58 a.m. April 18.
She was stopped in a 2018 Honda Accord in the 600 block of Interchange Road, Polk Township, police said.
• Police were called to a drug incident at 9:41 p.m. May 3 on Viewtop Road, Polk Township.
They said a male had ingested a controlled substance. It was later discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
• Police responded to a domestic incident between a mother and son at 2:30 p.m. May 5 on Palm Drive, Towamensing Township.
According to police, victims in the incident are two 31-year-old women, one from Lehighton and one from Palmerton.
• Police were called to an attempted suicide incident at 3:42 p.m. May 7 on Interchange Road, Polk Township.
They said the person who threatened to harm himself with a weapon was successfully and safely taken into custody and transported to appropriate medical care.
• Police were summoned to Holly Lane, Polk Township, for a report of an assault having caused bodily injury of a 6-year-old boy from Kunkletown.
The incident was reported to have occurred between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 11, but police said it was determined the incident was disciplinary in nature and no crime was committed.
• Police were called to a Dog Law violation at 12:08 p.m. May 1 on Ash Lane, Polk Township.
They said a 72-year-old man from Kunkletown reported he and his dog were attacked by another dog.
• A 37-year-old woman from Lehighton was cited for a Dog Law violation after police were called to a property on Laurel Spring Road, East Penn Township, at 4:36 p.m. May 10.
They said a 30-year-old man was bitten by the woman’s dog.
• The Palmerton Area School District was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police were called to 3533 Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township, at 11:12 p.m. May 9.
Police said it was the fourth time in the past year they were called there for a false alarm activation.
