Panther Valley’s baseball team earned a victory over Pottsville on Friday.

BASEBALL

Panther Vy.-Pottsville

A solid overall game from Danny Wehr helped Panther Valley post a 5-1 Schuylkill League victory over Pottsville.

Wehr allowed just one run on six hits while striking out eight in 6 1/3 innings. At the plate, he collected two hits and knocked in a pair of runs.

Brady Jones added a hit and an RBI, while Brody Breiner scored two runs. PV also received a hit and a run from Chase Krynock.

Peyton Eckert pitched a five-inning one-hitter as Pottsville gained a 10-0 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.

Eckert walked one and struck out three.

Reese Ketner had a hit and two RBIs for the winners, while Aubrey Scanlan and Jo Barnhart both added a hit and two runs.

PV’s only hit came from Isabella D’Ancona.
