Three area lacrosse teams will be participating in the District 11 lacrosse playoffs, starting Monday.

The Pleasant Valley girls, who are the No. 1 seed in Class 3A, will be out to defend their title when they face fourth-seeded Emmaus in the semifinals at Northampton at 7 p.m.

That same night, the Northwestern girls, seeded third in Class 2A, take on No. 2 Allentown Central Catholic at Emmaus at 5 p.m.

The Northwestern boys also qualified for the district playoffs and will be in action on Tuesday. The second-seeded Tigers meet No. 3 Moravian Academy at Emmaus at 5 p.m.

The girls finals will be played Wednesday and the boys Thursday at Lehigh University.
