The Polk Township supervisors reported vandalism at the township park.
The supervisors said at their meeting on Monday that the it was caused by youths riding motorcycles and damaging the property.
In order to deter future damage, the supervisors said surveillance cameras have been ordered and will be installed once PPL sets up a light pole to support the cameras.
In other business, the supervisors approved:
• The Parks Board is also seeking a new member following the resignation of Latasha Anthony for personal reasons.
• Supervisors approved the purchase of a large-format printer and scanner for $5,407, including paper and a stand. The new equipment will support software upgrades that allow for online submissions.
• New business included approval to advertise for paving bids on April 30 and May 5 for the 2025 paving project, which includes Sticker Road and Polk Township Road.
• A new fee schedule was also approved for the township’s new Sewage Enforcement Officer through Keystone Engineering.
