State police at Fern Ridge - crashes
State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:
• Julie R. Campo, 67, of Huntington Station, New York, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:59 a.m. April 25 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.
Police said she was driving a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound when it struck a deer that had entered its path.
The Jeep was towed from the scene.
• No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:15 a.m. April 27 on Bartonsville Woods Road, Jackson Township.
Police said the crash occurred when Jeff C. Strawn, 53, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue westbound, with Tara M. Strawn, 48, also of Kunkletown, as his passenger. They said the vehicle left the road due to driver distraction, hit a ditch and a downed tree.
The Rogue was towed from the scene.
Jeff Strawn was cited after the crash, according to police.
• Robert J. Storm III, 20, of Saylorsburg, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:14 p.m. April 15 on Greenview Drive, Chestnuthill Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger when he failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup went down an embankment and overturned into a creek.
It was towed from the scene.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:19 p.m. April 17 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Jose B. Garcia Jr., 32, of Tobyhanna, was driving a 2004 BMW eastbound when it struck a 2011 Toyota driven by William P. Mullin, 78, of Baldwinsville, New York.
Police said the BMW continued off the right side of the road and went down an embankment.
Both vehicles had disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
