State police at the Frackville barracks reported that three people were transported by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 309 and Tide Road in Hometown, Rush Township.
The three were identified as Barry J. Horvath, 66, and Colleen G. Horvath, 65, both of Hunlock Creek, and an 11-year-old boy from New Tripoli, all of whom were occupants in a 2021 Chevrolet Impala.
Police said the crash occurred when Wayne D. Craddock, 49, of Tamaqua, operating a 2014 Mini Paceman south on Route 309, crossed into the path of the Impala driven by Barry Horvath, and the cars collided in the intersection.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
