State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 39-year-old Slatington woman was targeted in a theft by disposition of funds incident reported on Route 873 in North Whitehall Township.

Police said that she was the victim of an electronic funds transfer scam earlier this year.

• An 82-year-old Walnutport woman was targeted in a theft by disposition of funds incident reported at 11:31 p.m. March 6 on Route 873 in North Whitehall Township.

Police said they were called to The Neffs Bank, where they were advised the woman lost $775 in the incident.

• Wescott Sedora, 31, of Harrisburg, was charged with harassment, simple assault and strangulation after police were called to a domestic disturbance at 11:20 a.m. March 29 on the 6600 block of Phillips Road, Heidelberg Township.

Police said a 45-year-old woman from Breinigsville had injuries from the assault.

They said Sedora was processed and taken to the Lehigh County Prison, Allentown, to be arraigned.

• A 38-year-old Slatington man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police made a traffic stop at 1:42 a.m. April 13.

He was stopped in a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 22 in Hanover Township.

• Police are investigating a harassment by physical contact case involving a 1-year-old girl from Slatington.

They said they were called to a property on Friedens Road, Washington Township, at 12:21 p.m. Feb. 20.

• Raymond Shook, 47, of Danielsville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after an incident at 12:01 p.m. April 3 at 7857 Beth-Bath Pike, East Allen Township.

Police said they were called to assist emergency personnel services regarding a driver slumped over the wheel of a Subaru Legacy due to a possible overdose. They said upon their arrival the man drove from the scene. They said a traffic stop was initiated, at which time Shook failed to yield, resulting in a brief pursuit.

Shook was taken into custody and taken to the state police barracks for an evaluation.

• Daniel Magliane, 46, of Slatington, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an incident at 5:19 p.m. March 12 at the Slatedale Playground, 3922 Main St., Washington Township.

Police said his 19-year-old daughter from Nesquehoning said her father grabbed her wrist and pulled it in an attempt to get her phone from her.

• A 28-year-old Slatington man was targeted in a theft by disposition of funds case reported at 6:39 p.m. March 10 on South Loop Road, Washington Township.

Police said he reported his credit card was used to purchase two strollers worth $1,871.98.

• Shannon Gruber, 44, of Slatington, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic violence report at 4:21 p.m. April 1 at 7264 Route 870, Washington Township.

A 54-year-old man from Slatington reported that Gruber struck him in the back of the head with a fist.

• Police are investigating the theft of $20,000 from the Schnecksville Fire Company.

They said they were summoned to the property on Old Packhouse Road, North Whitehall Township, at 1:52 p.m. March 30, where it was reported approximately $20,000 in multiple transactions were fraudulently transferred from the company’s accounts via computer hacking.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported at 7:10 a.m. March 17.

An 18-year-old woman from Slatington reported someone broke the rear window of her 2007 Pontiac.

• Wendy’s restaurant, 4896 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police were called there for a false alarm at 3:54 a.m. April 17.

Police said it was the fourth false alarm they were called to at that location in the past 12 months.

• A 59-year-old Slatington man was targeted in a fraud/theft incident police were called to at Lamar Court, Washington Township.

Police said he lost about $20,000 between March 3 and 24 and has not been reimbursed for the loss.

• Police were called to a natural death report at 7:57 a.m. April 8 at a property on Mountain Road, Washington Township.

They said the deceased was a 91-year-old woman from Palmerton.

• A 38-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, both from Slatington, were cited for assault/bodily injury after police were called to a domestic disturbance at a property off Route 873 in Washington Township at 7:46 a.m. April 8.

• A 51-year-old Slatington woman called police to theft incident at 11:24 a.m. April 14 on Mountain Road, Heidelberg Township.

She told police a motorized scooter valued at $1,900 and a snowplow attachment for a lawn mower worth $200 were taken from her garage. The woman said that she had held a garage sale in January, and on April 14 discovered the missing items.
