Pleasant Valley delivered a pair of dominant performances on Tuesday, rolling past Parkland in girls lacrosse and overpowering East Stroudsburg South in a high-scoring softball showdown.

Pleasant Valley-Parkland
Pleasant Valley rebounded from its lone loss of the season with a commanding 14-3 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Parkland.
Devon Bush led the Bears’ attack with four goals and three assists. Olivia Iandoli and Brielle Halamar each finished with three goals.

Every player in the Pleasant Valley lineup recorded a hit as the Bears rolled to a 24-14 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win over East Stroudsburg South.
Brianca Pridham was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, blasting a two-run homer in the second, a grand slam in the fifth, and a three-run shot in the seventh. She finished with three home runs, two singles, four runs scored and 10 RBIs.
Katie Van Schoyck added two singles, a double, three runs scored, and two RBIs.

Payton Frantz drove in six runs on three hits to lead Minersville to a 16-2 Schuylkill League win over Marian.
Frantz had a two-run single during a nine-run third inning. The Battlin’ Miners totaled 16 hits.
Gracie Sendatch had two hits and an RBI for the Fillies.

Tri-Valley scored 13 runs in the first inning en route to an 18-0 Schuylkill League win over Weatherly.
Alina Leonard struck out all nine batters she faced to earn the win in the circle.
Liv Winter and Myah Schwalm hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning. Winter also hit a two-run triple and finished with three runs and five RBIs. Schwalm added two extra-base hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Tanner MoDavis had two hits and four RBIs, Kaden Hess drove in three runs, and Cooper Kresge added two RBIs.
Hess, Noah Pastor, and Nathan Frantz combined on a three-hitter.

Luke Kane’s RBI single in the fifth inning helped Tamaqua edge Panther Valley 3-2 in Schuylkill League play.
Tamaqua led 2-0 before the Panthers tied the game with a two-run fourth.
Jake Yenser earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts in three innings.
Cameron Caffery struck out five over six innings for Panther Valley.

BOYS TENNIS
CL Championships
Jim Thorpe, Lehighton and Palmerton all participated in the Colonial League Championships.
While all three teams showcased their talent, Moravian Academy captured both the regular season and tournament titles.
Lehighton’s Bayto and Bekim Cokrlija each earned third-place finishes in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
Teammate Isaac Carpenter fell in the third-place match at No. 3 singles.
