State police at the Lehighton barracks said they chased a 24-year-old Jim Thorpe man, who is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controller substance.

The man crashed his 2001 Dodge Dakota while police were in pursuit of him, police said.

The incident took place at the intersection of Beaver Run Drive and the Flagstaff Road in Mahoning Township.
