                State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:
                • Two older Schnecksville residents had thousands of dollars stolen from them in two separate theft by deception incidents police were called to investigate.
                At 4:15 p.m. Jan. 28, police were summoned to Park View Drive, North Whitehall Township, where an 84-year-old man told police that from December 2023 to December 2024 he gave $250,000 to someone claiming they were from the Mega Millions organization.
                He also reported $6,000 in cash had been stolen from him.
                In the second incident, police were called at 9:36 p.m. Jan. 29 to Wagon Wheel Drive, North Whitehall Township, where a 71-year-old woman reported she was “scammed” out of $8,000 worth of gift cards from The Home Depot and Lowe’s after taking a phone call from someone impersonating Wells Fargo Security.
                • Police said that Wendy’s, at 4896 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after they were called at 7:50 a.m. Jan. 29 to the business.
                It was the fourth false alarm in the past 12 months, according to police.
