A project to upgrade its high school auditorium will run Northern Lehigh School District $200,000.
The school board on an 8-0 vote recently agreed to purchase high school auditorium rigging, with installation.
Director Chad Christman was absent.
After the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Matthew J. Link explained why the upgrades are necessary.
“The current rigging has failed and is no longer operational,” Link said. “The manufacturer has stopped making it and replacement parts.”
Link added that the district hopes to have it installed by late spring, though noted it unfortunately won’t be completed until after the spring musical.
