Local Roundup: results from June 6
It wasn’t a good day for area teams on Thursday, as three of them suffered losses.
Two of them, Jim Thorpe’s Junior Connie Mack team and the Berlinsville Braves, gained early leads only to see their opponents come back to gain wins.

Pen Argyl-Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe jumped out to an early lead, but Pen Argyl stormed back - including scoring 10 runs in the seventh inning - to post a 19-5 victory.
Phillip Garner doubled home a run in the first inning, while Lucas Knopf added an RBI single as Thorpe gained a 2-0 advantage.
Pen Argyl took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth and put the game away with its big late-game outburst.
Knopf had two hits for the Olympians, while Carter Grant and Garner both collected a hit, a run and an RBI.
The winners received two hits, four runs and two RBIs from Eli Tuliszewski, who also earned the win in relief.

East Stroudsburg took advantage of six Franklin Township errors to gain a 10-5 victory.
Franklin outhit the home team by an 11-5 margin, but the miscues and nine walks proved to be costly.
Cash White did collect three hits for FT, while Brayden Ulshafer added a hit and two runs. Landan Steigerwalt chipped in with a hit and an RBI.
The winners were paced by Michael O’Donnell, who blasted a triple and knocked in three runs.

Panther Valley graduate Justin Jachowicz earned the pitching win as the Egypt Orioles rallied for a 6-3 victory over the Berlinsville Braves.
Jachowicz tossed six innings, scattering eight hits and walking one while striking out three.
The Braves (4-4) grabbed a 3-0 lead on RBI hits from Rommel Perez, Eli Angstadt and Sean Rodriguez.
But the Orioles (5-3-1) came back, thanks to a home run from Todd Kolbicka and three hits and an RBI from Trey Hinkle.
