PPL Electric Utilities announces it has received the 2024 Energy Star Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. PPL Electric is being recognized as a Partner of the Year for a fourth straight year.

The Energy Star Partner of the Year Award is the highest level of recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency. Each year, the program honors a select group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to energy efficiency and the transition to a clean energy economy. To earn the distinction of Sustained Excellence, a company must have already won consecutive annual awards.

PPL Electric offers customers several ways to purchase energy-efficient appliances and equipment, including offering discounts on Energy Star appliances. In 2023, PPL Electric’s energy efficiency programs generated $7.3 million in customer incentives. Through these incentives, customers saved 50.5 million kWh of energy, or the equivalent of removing over 4,600 homes from the grid.
