Mahoning Township supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• Awarded a bid to Rehrig Fuel for $10,445 for the water filtration system for the township’s new headquarters, the former Diaz building.

• Agreed to hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. May 8 pertaining to comprehensive amendments and restatement of the township’s zoning ordinance. Both the Carbon County Planning Commission and the township’s planning commission have recommended approval of the new zoning to the board of supervisors.

• On a 3-1 vote, adopted an ordinance to change Clinic Road to Diaz Road. Board Chairman Robert Slaw was opposed.
