Northern Lehigh School Board - Personnel
Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters this week:
• Jacqueline Hillegass, special education paraprofessional, $16.39 an hour, effective about March 19.
• Barbara Stubbs, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, effective April 8.
• Crystal Schaller, cook’s helper, from $14 an hour to $15.19 an hour, effective March 25.
• Cynthia Miller, bus driver/aide from Krise Transportation.
• Renew Sydney Christman, secondary, substitute teacher for the 2023-2024 school year at the 2023-2024 substitute rate of $120 per day for the first 10 days, and $130 thereafter, as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
Open Horizons /I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Summer Program
• Manuel Gonzalez, secondary coordinator, $6,290, with a completion program premium pay of up to $1,000.
• Susan Beil, elementary coordinator, $6,290, with a completion program premium pay of up to $1,000.
• Kimberly Filipovits, Brian Skrapits, Blasia Dunham, Tamara Stubits, Angela Everitt, Susan Heil, and Katelyn Hugo, instructors, at the Collective Bargaining Agreement current rate of $30 per hour, with a completion program premium pay of up to $1,000 each.
• Andrea Rosario, Angie Thomas, Denise Minnich, Jessica Jones, and Megan Farkas, paraprofessionals, hourly rate, with a completion program premium pay of up to $750 each. This is their current hourly rate, which varies per individual.
STEAM Camp
• Timothy Weaber, director, $2,580; Jennifer Butz, coordinator, $2,220; Shannon Jones, Kori Dibilio, Winterford Ohland, and Abigail Merkle, instructors, $1,500 each, to be funded through the Northern Lehigh Education Foundation. Director Gary Fedorcha abstained.
Middle school STEAM Camp
• Mary Frank and Rajeev Gupta, instructors, $1,500 each, The board also approved the following individuals to the Northern Lehigh Middle School STEAM Camp positions for the summer, to be funded through ESSER III B (Summer Enrichment).
Summer Programs Nurse
• Tracy Hoffman, school nurse for Summer STEAM Camp, Open Horizons/I.N.S.P.I.R.E., and ESY Summer programs for up to five hours a day at the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement amount of $30 per hour plus the one-time completion program premium pay of up to $1,000, to be fully funded through the ESSER III (Learning Loss) grant.
Elementary Summer Band Camp
• A tuition free one-week elementary summer band program, and also a stipend for summer band program director Steven Jonkman, whose stipend will be $1,000 to be paid out of ESSER funds for learning loss. The summer band program will run Aug. 15-19.
