“Issues Facing Bowmanstown, Towamensing & Lower Towamensing Townships” will be the featured topic at the Palmerton Area Democratic Club at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Palmerton Hungarian Club, 317 Lehigh Ave. (2nd Floor), Palmerton.
The meeting will be preceded by an optional social hour and dinner sponsored by Lively Liberals at Papa Al’s Restaurant (BYOB), 345 Delaware Ave., beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner reservations requested: LivelyLiberals@gmail.com or 484-629-8859 by noon Tuesday.
Dr. Roy Christman, a resident of Towamensing Township, will lead the discussion.
The speakers will include Supervisor John Kleintop and Planning Commissioner Penny Kleintop for Towamensing; former Lower Towamensing Township Chair of the Board of Supervisors Brent Green; and Bowmanstown Council member and chair of the Carbon County Council of Governments Kara Scott.
Topics will include what’s happening in each community and what to anticipate in the coming year.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
The club is at 317 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, may need to ring the doorbell for entrance.
