Carbon County Environmental Education Center in Summit Hill has announced the following events. Registration for events are taken by phone. Call 570-645-8597.

CCEEC is located at 151 E. White Bear Drive, Summit Hill. The center building is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.

Bird Box Sale-All Month Long

Boxes and kits for bluebirds, wrens, tree swallows and other small birds are available for purchase all month long. Prices vary from $15 to $25 for kits or assembled boxes, with a discount for EEC members. Owl and falcon nesting boxes are also available on order.

Yarn Tuesdays

Yarn Tuesdays is held every Tuesday in February & March, 6-7:30 p.m.

Participants can come learn to knit or crochet with all materials supplied, or bring their own project and enjoy the company of fellow crafters. A $15 donation covers all sessions. Light refreshments.
