The Panther Valley School Board took action the following personnel moves at its meeting Wednesday night:

• Accepted the resignation of Amanda Brogan, junior/senior high school special education teacher effective March 29.

• Appointed Dawn Haskell as part-time cashier at the junior/senior high school retroactive to Feb. 5 at current contract rate of $16.10 an hour.

• Hired Tiana Barnetti as full-time special education teacher effective March 1, at a salary of $44,996, per the PVEA contract.

• Hired Christine Presley, as a full-time special education teacher, effective March 4, at a salary of $69,598, per the PVEA contract.

• Hired Melissa Schoenberger as executive assistant to the superintendent at a rate of $19.10 an hour, per the contract.

• Approved Greg Kosciolek to attend the state Bureau of Special Education Conference in Hershey Feb. 28 to March 1, at a cost of $812.69.

• Approved Jennifer Jones, a junior/senior high school teacher to take a three-credit course at a Wilkes University at a cost of $516 a credit. The course is Literature for Children and Adolescents.

• Approved Ben Turrano as Panther Valley security for 2023-24 at $30 an event.

• Approved Ashley Berger and Chelsie Bowen as volunteers effectively immediately.

• Approved Janine McFadden and Lisa Rubin as detention monitors at the high school when no teacher is available at the contract rate of $40 an hour.

• Approved uncompensated leave for employee No. 424 from Feb. 12 to May 6, and uncompensated intermittent leave for employee No 1172 from Feb. 9, 2024, to Feb. 9, 2025.

• Approved paraprofessional Sonia Torres as “highly qualified” per the union contract at the rate of $14.44 an hour.

• Approved the revised salary of $17.50 an hour for Cortnee Hartman, accounts receivable/tax clerk.
