Northern Lehigh School District has restructured its committee meetings.

Board Chairman Mathias Green said at last week’s school board meeting the change was something he’d been thinking about for a while.

“We kind of split a couple committees, made a few changes,” Green said. “And we’re now looking at having eight committees, so there’s cooperation for all the board members, everybody gets a chance to be chair, to be co-chair, to work with the administrator on that committee.”

Green expanded on that thought.

“I guess it’s just a hope on my part that we all work together and we all get along, where we don’t start acting like Harrisburg and Washington and things like that,” he said. “Everybody is equal, everybody gets a shot.”

Afterward, the board unanimously agreed to restructure its committees as follows:

• Finance: Donna Kulp, chair, Natalie Snyder, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Director of business affairs and human resources.

• Technology: Rhonda Frantz, chair, Chad Christman, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Director of Technology.

• Buildings and Grounds: Gary Fedorcha, chair, Rhonda Frantz, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Director of Operations.

• Education: Robert Kern, chair, Gary Fedorcha, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Assistant Superintendent.

• Policy: Gale Husack, chair, Angela Williams, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Assistant Superintendent.

• Community Relations: Angela Williams, chair, Donna Kulp, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Superintendent.

• Extra & Co-Curricular: Chad Christman, chair, Gale Husack, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Athletic Director.

• Curriculum: Natalie Snyder, chair, Robert Kern, co-chair. Administrative liaison: Director of Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction.
