A Lansford man wanted on an arrest warrant faces additional charges following a Jan. 21 traffic stop in Tamaqua.
According to Tamaqua police, officers were monitoring traffic on Route 309 around 1:45 p.m. when they were alerted to a vehicle driven by Sadu Dumbuya, who has a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for his arrest.
Officers stopped Dumbuya and told him that he was stopped due to his suspended license, and said he was not able to provide them with a license or any identification.
Police then placed Dumbuya under arrest for the warrant. He gave officers consent to search his vehicle, and inside officers found a small amount of suspected marijuana, a smoking pipe, a 3.4 ounce bottle of Fireball liquor, an empty Natty Daddy beer can, and an empty Voodoo Ranger beer can.
His vehicle was towed from the scene. The suspected marijuana will be sent to the Pennsylvania State Police Forensics Lab.
