A convenience store in West Penn Township has received permission to sell beer and wine.
That’s after supervisors Monday morning unanimously adopted a resolution to approve the intermunicipal transfer of a liquor license.
The transfer is from Alanna’s, 313 New Castle St., Minersville, to Fegley’s Mini Mart, Inc., 551 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua.
That came after the board held a public hearing for the liquor license transfer in which no one spoke.
Last month, supervisors approved a request for the intermunicipal transfer of a liquor license. Supervisor Tim Houser was against the transfer then because of the potential for littering but since changed his mind.
