Two Jim Thorpe women were named officers of the Carbon County Tavern Association at the annual reorganization meeting last night. Emma Herman was named recording secretary and Rita Dever, public relations officer.

Gene Durigan of Mahoning Valley was re-elected president of the unit and other officers are George Mandour, Lehighton, vice president; Thomas Walck, Lehighton, financial secretary; John M. Strauss, Lansford, treasurer; and George Knecht, Lehighton R. 1, and Thomas Markley, Weissport, public relations officers.

Mandour will head the membership committee; Madge Strohm, Lehighton R. 3, attendance; and Rose Ferko, Nesquehoning, program.
