offset a fine this month at Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe. December is "Food for Fines" month at the library, which is accepting food donations in lieu of cash payment for overdue items. Library patrons who owe late fees can donate one food item per overdue material and the fine will be considered paid. All food donations will be delivered to the Second Harvest food bank in January.
