The Friends of the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, will sponsor its annual photography show at the library from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 30.

Anyone interested in entering their photos in the show should bring their work to the library by Thursday, March 27, before 5 p.m.All photos should be framed with a wire on the back ready to hang.Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance, and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.Call the library at 610-826-3424 for more informationApril is National Library Month. The library is sponsoring its annual Bookmark Contest for children in preschool through grade 6.Stop in at the library to pick up an entry form, which must be turned in by April 9. Prizes in four categories will be awarded the following week.The library will also sponsor its annual "Food for Fines" program during the month of April.For every $1 owed in fines you may substitute one nonperishable food item, which will be donated to the local food pantry in Palmerton.Help fill the grocery cart in the library and help a neighbor in need.The library's annual fund drive is going on now.If you don't receive an annual fund drive flier in the mail, ask for one at the checkout desk.
