An auto repair garage will be allowed to operate in Tresckow, as long as it meets stipulations.
Monday night, the Banks Township Zoning Hearing Board voted unanimously to grant a change in a non-conforming use to operate the garage in a former machine shop at Oak and Walnut streets in Tresckow.
The zoning board granted the application of Luigi Munoz Inoa, John M. Mumie and John O. Mumie to operate the garage, with the following stipulations: The garage will operate only Monday through Saturday between 7 a.m. And 7 p.m.; all work on vehicles must be done inside the garage; a six-foot high, enclosed fence that will not allow anyone to see into the outside parking lot must be installed around the lot within 90 days of the zoning permit’s approval, and a maximum of four vehicles with up-to-date registration and inspection will be allowed in the parking lot at a time. No autos will be allowed to be parked on the street.
Mechanical work, basic care and maintenance only, will be performed in the garage, including changing oil, checking fluids, rotating tires, and repairing or replacing worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings and sensors.
Although body work such as changing fenders will be allowed, any other body repair or spray painting of any kind is not be allowed.
