Northern Lehigh School Board unanimously approved the following matters on Monday:

• Memorandum of understanding with the administrative support staff, as of Dec. 1. The newly created transportation coordinator position has been added to this group.

• New salary and benefit agreement between the Northern Lehigh School District and the registrar/administrative assistant for child accounting, The length of the agreement is from Nov. 14, 2023 through June 30, 2027. The base salary is $35,750, which will be prorated for the 2023-2024 school year. Each July 1 thereafter through the duration of this agreement, they will receive a yearly salary increase of 3% upon a rating of satisfactory performance. Also, the base salary will be adjusted in the amount of $500 for step increments on July 1 after every subsequent five years of service prior to receiving the yearly salary increase percentage. The base salary will be paid utilizing the same payroll schedule established for other Administrative Support staff.

• Jamie Farber as registrar/administrative assistant for child accounting, effective Nov. 14.

• Adjusted payment for Jamie Farber, substitute teacher caller, from $100,000 per year to the rate of $15 per hour; her working hours for substitute teacher caller will be 2.5 hours per day for 190 teacher days.

• Upgrade to the Navigate360 platform to include the Navigate360 Training Institute subscription service for the district to remain compliant with Act 55 training requirements at a cost of $5,003, to be funded through ESSER Learning Loss.

• Agreement with Assist Services LLC on an as-needed basis.

Curriculum and Instruction

• Agreement with edInsight at a cost of $33,763 for curriculum and data warehousing and processing from 2024-2027, funding to be divided equitable among building budgets and the curriculum and instruction budget.

• Kara Richardson, helping teacher, for Peter Walker, inductee, $200; Amanda Bashore, helping teacher, for Jamie Snyder, inductee, $200; and Gabryella Wilder, helping teacher, for Matthew Jones, inductee, $200, in the Northern Lehigh School District Induction Program for the 2023-2024 school year.

Policy

• Initial club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh High School German Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for the advisors of this club, Janelle Sheckler and Deanna Quay, is $200 (shared stipend) beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. The approved stipend will be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Conferences

• Scott Pyne to attend the ASCD Annual Conference, March 22-25, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C., with the cost of registration $525, lodging, $894, travel, $274, and meals, $150, for a total cost of about $1,843, to be funded through the assistant superintendent’s professional development budget.

• Sherri Molitoris to attend the 69th PASBO Annual Conference, March 5-8, at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, with the cost of registration $349, travel, $128, hotel, $789, and meals, $25, for a total cost of about $1,291, to be funded through the business office budget.
