Bowmanstown residents shouldn’t have to dig deeper into their pockets next year because borough council will likely adopt a 2024 budget with no tax increase.
Council recently reviewed a draft of next year’s budget with the consensus that council will adopt the final budget in December with no tax increase.
This year, residents also did not see an increase in their municipal tax rates after council on a 3-2 vote granted final adoption of the 2023 budget.
That left the borough’s millage rate at 13.005 mills.
Council’s next meeting is at 7 p.m. Nov. 14.
