Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the deaths of two people who were found around 3:25 a.m. Tuesday in a wooded area near Ferndale Road in New Philadelphia.

Police said the two were pronounced dead at 6 a.m. by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.

Ferndale Road is approximately one mile east of Route 209. The investigation is ongoing.

A few hours earlier Tuesday, police asked the public’s help in locating two people who were reported missing in New Philadelphia.

Police haven’t said whether the incidents are related.

The missing include Angelito Xavier Caraballo, 16, who was last seen leaving his Macomb Street residence at 8 p.m. Sunday, and Hunter Mock who was last seen at 3:30 p.m. Monday at his home on Wetherill Street.
