Northern Lehigh School Board on a 6-0 vote approved the following personnel matters this month:
Resignations
• Retirement, Patricia Guedes, high school cafeteria hall monitor, effective Aug. 23, after two years of service; resignation, Amy Brown, paraprofessional, Peters Elementary, effective Aug. 17; resignation, Misty Christman, cook’s helper, Peters Elementary School, effective Sept. 6.
Appointments
• Lexi Meckes, temporary professional employee, elementary K-6, $54,550, effective Aug. 22; Amber Zion, Slatington Elementary special education teacher, $59,975, on or about Nov. 10; Andrea Maldonado, high school special education paraeducator, $16.39 an hour, 5.75 hours per day, effective Sept. 5, Crystal Myster, Slatington Elementary cafeteria/hall monitor, $14.72 an hour, three hours per day, effective Aug. 28; Leanne Olewine, Peters Elementary cafeteria hall monitor, $14.72 an hour, 2.5 hours per day, effective Sept. 25.
Website maintenance
• Andrew Kern, $500, high school website maintenance and working with students during the 2023-2024 school year, stipend to be funded by the general fund high school student activities fund; $1,000 for maintenance and updates of the district website during the 2023-2024 school year, stipend to be funded by the superintendent’s budget; and $500 for middle school website maintenance and working with students during the 2023-2024 school year, stipend to be funded by the general fund middle school student activities.
• Janet Bashore, $500 for maintenance and updates of the Peters Elementary website during the 2023-2024 school year, stipend to be funded by Peters Elementary principal’s discretionary account.
• Kori Dibilio, $500, for maintenance and updates of the Slatington Elementary website during the 2023-2024 school year, stipend to be funded by Slatington Elementary principal’s discretionary account.
Detention supervisors
• Julie Everett, secondary detention supervisor, senior high school, 2023-2024 school year, work on as needed basis and compensation at a salary of $20 per hour worked; Michelle Paul, administrative detention supervisor, middle school, at a salary of $20 per hour worked.
