The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp. is conducting its 2015/2016 subscription drive. The subscription is for unlimited emergency transports along with paramedic services provided by Lehighton Ambulance Association.

Subscription is for anyone 18 years or older. Family members under the age of 18 and residing in the same household as the subscriber will be covered for out-of-pocket expenses. In addition the Ambulance Corp. will provide one free lift assist per subscription year; the remainder will be billed at a flat rate.If you reside in the borough of Nesquehoning you should have received a subscription pack in the mail. If you have not received the subscription packet, please contact the ambulance station at 570-669-6684 and leave a message.A subscription is not the same as a donation. With a subscription you are covered for out-of-pocket expenses above what your insurance pays on emergency ambulance transports. Subscription cards returned for lesser amounts will be considered a donation and not entitled to subscription coverage.Most insurance co-pays and deductibles are significantly higher on emergency ambulance transports. If the subscriber does not have medical insurance coverage, the entire cost of the service will be covered.The Nesquehoning Ambulance does not provide interfacility transports or transports home from facilities.The Nesquehoning Ambulance is strictly avolunteer organizationproviding emergency medical services to the community.With over 500 calls responded to over the past year and only a handful of volunteers, the group needs the community's help for this service to continue.If interested in volunteering, contact the station.
