Palmerton Camera Club meeting

The Palmerton Camera Club will hold a macro photography workshop at 7:30 p.m. May 28 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.Meetings are open to the public.Bring your camera and tripod to the meeting for an evening of macro work.Good macro photography is not simply standing close to the subject and pressing the button. The general rules of macro photography are really only guidelines to get you started. There is room for lots of experimentation and imagination.The camera club will show some examples of do's and don'ts for macros, and share some tips for getting good results. The rest of the meeting will be devoted to taking pictures of various macro setups.Lighting and subject matter will be provided. Members should bring their cameras, macro lenses or wide-angle lenses, tripods, and shutter releases.Refreshments will be served.The May challenge is "Sugar and Spice."Club members should send pictures to
