Just because the school year started before the Labor Day Weekend, that doesn't mean an early closing of the Bungalow Pool.The pool will be open for the next two weekends, weather permitting. Opening time all four days will be 11:30 a.m. Closing time will depend on the weather and attendance.Season passes are still available, even if the season is coming to a close, and they provide a huge discount over the daily rates.For more information, stop in at Tamaqua Borough Hall, 320 E. Broad St., or call 570-668-3444 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.Library eventsIt's back to school time and that means the it's also Fall Storytime at the Tamaqua Public Library. The eight-week program will begin the week of Sept. 22.Sessions will be held twice a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10 to 11 a.m. It is open to children between the ages of 2 and 5, but younger siblings are also welcome.For more information, or to register, stop in at the library at 30 S. The sale will continue through Sept. 19.Gardening clinicSchuylkill County's Penn State Master Gardeners are offering two free gardening clinics to county residents interested in learning the basics of composting.Sessions will be held on Sept. 17 at Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley and Sept. 23 at Sweet Arrow Lake Park in Washington Township. Camp services will be held at 7 p.m. this Friday and Saturday and at 9:15 a.m., 10:25 a.m. and 6 p.m. this Sunday.Camp services will also be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 31, Sept. 1, Sept. 3, Sept. 4 and Sept. 5.Missionary Night will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 2, featuring Andy and Sylvia Grosh, who have worked together in Papua, New Guinea, since 1989. Andy Grosh also serves as the crisis management coordinator for missionary work throughout the Pacific area.Wehry Family Ministries will present concerts as part of the 2:30 and 6 p.m. services on Sept. 6. There will also be a worship service at 10:25 a.m. that Sunday and a hot dog roast will be held after the 6 p.m. service.Evangelists and vocalists Larry and Tamia Leckrone of Kurtz, Indiana, will be the special guests for services on Sept. 7, which will include a praise service at 10:30 a.m., a concert by Mended Heart at 2:30 p.m. and closing ceremonies at 6 p.m.
