A petition, said to have originated among Coaldale miners, is being circulated throughout all of the Panther Valley towns, protesting the recent action of the Coaldale Hospital board in removing from the office of superintendent, Dr. E.E. Shifferstine.

The petition asks that Dr. Shifferstine be continued as superintendent as well as surgeon-in-chief, and claims that the old order is necessary to the conduct of the institution.
