Jack Frost will host its ninth annual "Ski for the Cure" breast cancer awareness day Feb. 27. The event benefits the local chapter of Susan G. Komen, for the Cure, NEPA affiliate.

To date, the event has raised over $182,000.Activities for the event will include a raffle, tricky tray, pledge ski-a-thon, pink ribbon honor plaque sales and a pink Olympic timed race.The dedication run will start at 11:15 a.m. Participants will gather for a brief remembrance of those lost to breast cancer, honor those in treatment and survivors.Bagpipers will play as skiers gather before heading down the Lehigh Trail behind a "Ski for the Cure" banner.Ski Patrol and traditional bell ringers will be lining the trail.To donate online or for further information, go to jfbb.com/events or call 570-443 8425 ext. 2671.
