The Tamaqua Community Art Center will host a meet and greet session for artist Kevin Smith II on Thursday.

Smith currently resides in Tamaqua after a one-year, 4,000-mile walk across the United States with the group United Souls of Awareness. His work includes a series of seven acrylic paintings that correspond with that walk. They involve colors and concepts of the people and places he encountered on his epic journey.Video clips of the adventure will be shown during the meet and greet, which will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.The art center is located at 125 Pine St. in Tamaqua.
