Man admits having stolen tools

A Carbon County man admitted having in his possession a large quantity of tools reported stolen from a local firm.

Jacob Joshua Temos, 39, of Palmerton pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property.He was charged by Palmerton police when a relative of the defendant found a large quantity of tools in a property she was cleaning out. The woman called borough police who determined the tools belonged to FTI Framework of Palmerton. A representative of the firm positively identified the tools as that of the firm.Police said Temos was once employed by the firm and indicated that was when the tools were taken.Serfass placed him on probation for 36 months and ordered he render 150 hours of community service.The term runs consecutive to a prison term Temos is currently serving on two counts of violating a protection from abuse order. In that case he was sentenced to serve four to 12 months in prison.He must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and when released from prison pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
