LCCC offers tuition assistance to Schuylkill County residents

Residents from Schuylkill County interested in an industrial automation technician career are eligible for Lehigh County Community College tuition assistance from the college's Morgan Foundation Scholarship job training program.

Eligible participants who are underemployed can receive up to 90 percent in tuition assistance. Unemployed individuals can receive up to 100 percent in tuition assistance.The course will be offered at the LCCC Tamaqua mobile lab site provided there is adequate enrollment to offer the class at Tamaqua.The course is eligible for the Morgan Foundation Job Training Scholarship, and covers advanced electrical and mechanical topics, including programmable logic controllers, as well as hands-on training in the mobile lab at Tamaqua complements of online computer based training. A nationally recognized test is administered for certification upon completion of the course.Funds from the scholarship are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis for qualified candidates.Interested candidates should contact David Lapinsky, LCCC Workforce and Community Services, at 610-769-1354.
