Lehigh Carbon Community College is offering a new, free program for new or first-generation students, adult students returning to college, as well as anyone wanting to learn skills for academic success.

The 2016 Summer Bridge program will be heldAug. 1-4 and 8-11, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with sessions offered at LCCC sites in Allentown, Tamaqua and Schnecksville.Students will learn tools that will help them succeed in college, beginning with an online assessment tool to explore different careers.LCCC's Career Development Center will help studentsincrease their knowledge, strategies and skills, in the areas of math and reading, to help the transition into college coursework.To register, call Gloria Lowell at 610-799-1545 or email
