Members of Zion Lutheran Church prepared July 4 holiday food bags for 25 Tamaqua families, with support from a grant from the Thrivent Financial Action and Zion Lutheran Outreach Teams. The food bags included hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, condiments, pickles, baked beans, chips, lemonade mix, ice pops and a fresh cantaloupe. Recipients were selected through Tamaqua Area Faith and Fellowship Network contacts.
