The Palmerton Swim Team and members of the Palmerton community will participate in a swim challenge from noon to 8 p.m. July 13 at the Palmerton Memorial Pool to raise funds for The Moving Wall and the swim team.

Each swimmer pledges to swim a number of laps in support of the veterans' projects and the swim team. The team hopes those pledges add up to $5,000.The Moving Wall will be on display from July 21-25 in the Palmerton Park on Delaware Avenue.In response to the team's commitment to help fund the moving wall, Vietnam veteran Bill Gallagher said,"I would like to personally thank the members of the Palmerton Swim Team for their support of The Moving Wall and the flagpole that will soon welcome those individuals entering Palmerton."Pledge forms are available at the pool office or online at the palmertonswim.com website. Show your pledge form at the pool office on July 13 and daily admission is waived.
