lkohler@tnonline.comNorthern Lehigh Area School District's notables participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the dedication of the new artificial turf at Bulldog Athletic Stadium Friday.In addition to the state-of-the-art artificial surface, the stadium also now features a new scoreboard and security camera system.Bryan Geist, Northern Lehigh athletic director, thanked everyone for attending and said that this was a night they were all waiting for."The community deserves it and we owe it to you to give you a great product, educationally and athletically. Welcome to Bulldog Stadium," Geist said.Raymond "Jack" Follweiler, Jr., a member of the Northern Lehigh School District's board of directors, had the honor of cutting the ribbon before the Bulldogs took the field for their first game of the season last night against Southern Lehigh. The new turf field has been a dream of Follweiler's for some time.
