The summer heat has fired up the organizers of Tamaqua's Spirit of Christmas Festival.

An early planning session will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at the LCCC Scheller Center on High Street in Tamaqua. Anyone interested in helping plan, or participating in, the festival is welcome to attend.
