The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks will have a board meeting and volunteer project Saturday.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. from the Tuscarora State Park Visitor Center in Barnesville. All are welcome.

The volunteer project starts at 10 a.m. and participants should meet at the Tuscarora visitor center to help clean up the park’s chestnut grove. Volunteers will carpool in trucks to the grove.

Participants should bring gloves and wire cutters to take off wire fencing, and remove metal rings and concrete from around the chestnut trees.

They will also remove invasive species from the chestnut grove.
