Tamaqua police were responding to a June 21 report of man dancing in the street and wearing only one shoe when they received a second call from the Schuylkill County Communications Center.
The man, later identified as Czar Founds, 26, of Tamaqua, was unconscious the second call reported.
Police said they arrived at 5:25 p.m. to find Founds passed out on a Patterson Street sidewalk. A witness told officers that she almost hit him with his car while he was dancing moments earlier.
Police woke Founds and said he was under the influence. He initially denied taking drugs but police found drug paraphernalia. According to officers, Founds admitted to taking fentanyl and methamphetamine.
He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in Coaldale.
He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
Founds had an active warrant against him for a parole violation, police said.
