NEPADOC

The Schuylkill County Historical Society will present NEPADOC, a documentary using music and pictures to chronicle the history of Northeastern Pennsylvania over the last 300 years, at 6:30 p.m. July 20, at the Majestic Theater, 209 N. Centre St., Pottsville.

The film, by Bloomsburg University communications studies professor David Heineman, includes images of Schuylkill County. Admission is free to society members and $10 for the general public. For fee information, call 570-622-7540.

Book club

The Local Reads book club will meet at the Schuylkill County Historical Society, 305 N. Centre St., Pottsville, at 6:30 p.m. on July 26, to discuss “Murder at Mountain Tavern” by Frackville native Greg Dillensnyder and “Coal River” by Ellen Marie Wiseman.
