Tamaqua police charged William Hill, 42, Tamaqua, with harassment following a June 17 incident.

Police said they were dispatched to a West Broad Street convenience store after 4 p.m. and spoke to a man who said Hill asked him to walk outside the establishment with him.

While outside, the man said Hill hit him in the back of the head, causing his eyeglasses to fall to the ground.

Police said they later interviewed Hill, who admitted to hitting the man and confessed to the assault.
