Coaldale Police Officer Todd Weiss submitted the department’s report for May.

Police responded to 109 calls for service; patrolled 2,380 miles, and collected $442.97.

The department’s request for various equipment was approved by council this week. Police will receive approximately $6,500 in gear, including 5 handgun and magazine holsters; 3 red dot, weapon and raised iron sights; and 9 mm ammunition.

The Coaldale Fire Department responded to 18 calls during the month of May, for a total of 64 this year, according to Coaldale Councilman Jacob Adamitis.
