The Palmerton and Lehighton Area Democratic Clubs are co-sponsoring an informal midsummer Pot Luck Picnic, Sunday, July 15, 1- 4 p.m., at Bert Holczman's Farm, 540 Sand Quarry Road, Ashfield.

"If anyone wants to take a photograph with our Democratic Mascot, 'Mary' the donkey who lives on the farm, she will once again be available for photos. It should be a lot of fun," said Sarina Berlow, president of the Palmerton Democratic Club. "Paper goods, a grill, and ice will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a favorite dish, salad, chips, snacks or beverages, etc., to share.""A swimming pool and changing area are also available," added Jesse Walck, President of the Lehighton Club.
