The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks will have its next meeting and volunteer project Saturday at Tuscarora State Park in Barnesville.

The Friends’ board meeting begins at 9 a.m. from the Visitor Center. All are welcome.

The project follows at 9:30 a.m. with individuals separating into three groups to complete work before the Tuscarora Summer Festival on June 10.

Volunteers will help paint the new shed and are asked to bring a paint brush. Others will assist with a garden clean-up at the visitors’ center and are asked to bring rakes and clippers to help weed, clear leaves and trim hedges. Those interested in a beach cleanup should bring rakes.
