The Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association has announced the recipients of its 2023 Kermit Henning Youth Education Grants.

Fourteen organizations received nearly $9,000 in funding for programs designed to get youth outdoors and to teach them about the valuable natural resources available throughout the state.

Recipients of this year’s award include:

Blue Ridge Rifles Muzzleloader Club, Orwigsburg, $200.

Friends of Schuylkill Parks and Recreation, Pine Grove, $700.

Schuylkill County Sportsmen’s Association Youth Field Day, Pottsville, $700.
